    Signum Secures Vital Accreditation

For the third year running, we have secured a vital accreditation here at Signum which demonstrates our commitment to health and safety compliance including strong Covid secure measures.

Following a comprehensive audit, we have regained SafeContractor status.

SafeContractor aims to build a better and safer working world for everyone. Approved companies are clearly demonstrating their commitment to sustainable and ethical practices and ensuring that all health and safety paperwork is compliant with current legislation.

It looks at vital areas of businesses including risk assessments, staff training, working at height procedures, PPE and tool safety and accident statistics for the past three years.

Importantly, recent assessments have also included a detailed check of the measures organisations are taking to ensure they are Covid secure.

Jill Wood, manging director at Signum FM, said: “It’s great news that we have achieved SafeContractor accreditation for the third year running. We always take health and safety seriously but it has been even more vital over the course of the pandemic to ensure we are doing all we can to keep our staff and customers safe when out on site visits. This mark helps provide our clients with assurances that we always work safely with their staff and ours in mind.

“I’d like to thank the hard work of the entire Signum FM team who have worked so hard in helping us achieve this accreditation.”

The Future Is Looking Bright For Signum!

After what can only be described as one of the most difficult years to date for many businesses, we are thrilled to be in the position to report some really promising news for Signum.

The education sector continues to be a growing specialism for us and we have recently started work with a number of new school and education providers across South Yorkshire. This includes High Green Primary School in Sheffield, Hoylandswaine Primary School in Barnsley and the new University Technical College (UTC) in Doncaster.

All are planned preventative and reactive maintenance service contracts which involve ensuring compliance for statutory testing as well as scheduling our visits around term times to reduce disruption.

We are also providing facilities management support service to the client and tenants of Doncaster Business Innovation Centre ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation and statutory building management requirements. We will be managing service contracts and providing maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of the building.

In addition, we have extended the work we do with Parker Hannifin to include their site in Warwick.

We are providing an extensive facilities support service which involves monitoring the day-to-day maintenance of the premise, supporting the delivery of requests and reports of reactive incidents, quality assurance and delivery of SLA’s and KPI’s set out within the contract and the provision of a helpdesk. We have also undertaken a full asset survey and all site health and safety risk assessment, developing internal processes for multi team working across site to meet health and safety requirements and developing, delivering and monitoring PPM schedules. So, lots to keep us busy!

But not only have we been working hard on the client front providing the best possible service to customers old and new, we have also been giving our own brand some care and attention. We now have a sparkly new website which aims to bring be a one-stop-shop for everything Signum Facilities Management. Its navigation is simpler and the fresh new look reflects how we are moving forward as a company. You may also notice our newly branded vans out and about across the region, too.

It really is an exciting time for the team here and we are thankful to everyone who is on the journey with us. We couldn’t do it without you! The future is most definitely looking bright as we continue to provide the best service we can alongside developing our company growth plans. Watch this space!
